Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
V1Portal uses Google Analytics and Meta Pixel for traffic measurement and ad conversion tracking. These tools are only activated after you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can manage your preferences at any time.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, complete your V1 Assessment, or contact us for support. This includes your name, email address, phone number, athletic profile information (height, weight, 40-yard dash time, GPA, graduation year, etc.), high school information, and any highlight film links you provide.
We also collect usage data automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, time spent on pages, and actions taken within the platform.
If you pay for a subscription, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment card details. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve V1Portal services — including calculating your V1 Score, matching you with college programs, and enabling coach outreach. We use your email to send service-related notifications and, where you have opted in, marketing communications such as recruiting tips and your weekly recruiting pulse.
We may use aggregated, de-identified data for internal analytics and product improvement.
3. Information Shared With Third Parties
We share data with third-party service providers to operate the platform. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their services and are bound by data processing agreements.
Current third-party service providers include:
• Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Stores your account and athlete profile data. • Vercel — our cloud hosting provider. Serves the V1Portal web application and processes page requests. • Stripe — payment processing. Handles subscription billing. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and we do not store full card numbers. • Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery. Processes your email address and engagement data (opens, clicks) to deliver emails and measure email performance. • Google Analytics — website traffic analytics. Collects anonymized data about how visitors navigate our site (pages viewed, session duration, device type). This data may be used by Google for its own purposes per Google's privacy policy. • Meta Pixel — conversion tracking and advertising measurement. When enabled, Meta (Facebook) may place cookies on your browser to track actions you take on our site and to show you relevant ads on Meta platforms. This data is processed by Meta under Meta's data policy.
We do not sell your personal data for monetary compensation. However, under California law (CCPA), sharing personal information with advertising-related third parties such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel may be considered "sharing" or "selling" of personal data. California residents have the right to opt out — see Section 8 below.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of V1Portal, our users, or the public.
4. Information Shared With Coaches
When you create a public profile on V1Portal, your athletic profile information is visible to college coaches and recruiters who access your profile link. This includes your name, position, stats, academic information, and film links. You can toggle your profile visibility at any time in your account settings.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and, where you have consented, analyze traffic and support advertising.
Essential cookies are required for the site to function and are always active. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) are only loaded after you provide consent via our cookie banner.
You can update your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser's local storage and revisiting the site to see the consent banner again, or by contacting us.
6. Your Consent and Choices
When you first visit V1Portal, we display a cookie consent banner that lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences. We will not load Google Analytics or Meta Pixel until you provide your explicit consent.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, visiting v1portal.com/unsubscribe, or updating your preferences in Dashboard → Settings.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
• Right to Know — You may request details about the personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell. • Right to Delete — You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. • Right to Opt Out — You may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information to third parties, including for advertising purposes. To opt out of analytics and advertising data sharing, reject non-essential cookies in our consent banner or contact us at support@v1portal.com. • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To submit a request, contact us at support@v1portal.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days.
9. Minors and Parental Consent
V1Portal is intended for use by high school athletes. If you are under 13 years old, you may not create an account. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, we recommend that a parent or guardian review this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
V1Portal offers a parent/guardian account type that allows parents to create and manage a profile on behalf of their athlete. By creating a parent account and providing your athlete's information, you represent that you have the legal authority to do so.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at support@v1portal.com if you believe this has occurred.
10. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@v1portal.com. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
Email engagement data (opens, clicks) processed by Resend is retained in accordance with Resend's data retention policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of V1Portal after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
