Terms of Service

Last updated: June 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using V1Portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. V1Portal is operated by VarsityOne Group LLC.

If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, or that you have their permission to use V1Portal. If you are a parent creating an account for your athlete, you agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Description of Service

V1Portal is a patent-pending, V1OS-powered mutual-matching platform that connects high school football athletes and their families with active college football coaches and recruiters across NCAA Divisions I-III, NAIA, and NJCAA programs. Athletes complete a recruiting assessment to receive a V1 Score and get matched with programs that fit their profile; coaches review and connect with matched athletes on the other side. The platform is intended as a guidance and connection tool to assist athletes — not as a guarantee of any recruiting outcome, offer, or scholarship.

3. V1 Score Disclaimer

The V1 Score is an algorithmic assessment based on the information you provide. It is guidance, not a guarantee of college recruiting interest, scholarship offers, or athletic eligibility. V1Portal uses AI-powered technology and may make mistakes. Always verify important information independently.

Division projections and recruiting odds are estimates based on historical data and should not be treated as definitive assessments of your collegiate prospects. Individual results vary based on factors outside V1Portal's control, including athletic performance, academic standing, and coach preferences.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your profile. Misrepresentation of athletic or academic credentials is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.

You may not share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of other individuals without their consent.

5. Subscription and Payments

Athletes can use V1Portal for free, or upgrade to Match+ ($29/month) for full program matches, a recruiting roadmap, and coach outreach templates. Optional one-time guides (Film Guide, Parents Guide, Recruiting Playbook) are billed once at checkout. College coach accounts are free to create and use during our current launch phase.

Match+ auto-renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Manage Subscription in your dashboard, which opens Stripe's secure billing portal, or by emailing support@v1portal.com. Your access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: contact support@v1portal.com within 30 days of a charge for a full refund. We are not responsible for charges resulting from failure to cancel before a renewal date.

Prices are subject to change with notice. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before a price increase takes effect.

6. Email Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your account (e.g., welcome emails, password resets, score updates). These communications are required to operate the service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

Marketing and recruiting tip emails (such as your Weekly Recruiting Pulse) are optional. You may opt out at any time via Dashboard → Settings → Notifications, or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use V1Portal to:

• Misrepresent your athletic or academic credentials to coaches or programs • Spam or harass college coaches • Violate NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA recruiting rules • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data • Reverse engineer or scrape any part of the platform • Use V1Portal for any unlawful purpose

Violation of these Terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. NCAA Compliance

V1Portal includes automated tools intended to help flag potential dead-period and contact-rule conflicts before a message between an athlete and coach is sent. These tools do not replace your own compliance obligations. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of V1Portal complies with all applicable NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA recruiting rules and bylaws. V1Portal is not affiliated with the NCAA, NAIA, or any college athletics governing body. When in doubt, consult your high school athletic director or a compliance officer.

9. Intellectual Property

The V1 Score methodology, V1OS matching algorithms, and platform design are proprietary to VarsityOne Group LLC. You may not reverse engineer, copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission. Your athlete profile data belongs to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

V1Portal and VarsityOne Group LLC provide the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including missed recruiting opportunities, scholarship decisions, or inaccurate assessments.

Our total liability for any claim related to V1Portal is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. You may delete your account by contacting support@v1portal.com. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your access to paid features will end at the close of the current billing period.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of V1Portal will be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of V1Portal after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
